iHebrew privacy policy

Last updated September 30, 2026

This policy explains what iHebrew does with your information. iHebrew is made by Danny Zacharias in Nova Scotia, Canada, who is responsible for it under Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA).

The short version

  • No account, no sign-in, no ads.
  • No analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
  • The app itself sends no data. Videos inside the app are streamed from YouTube when you play them.

What leaves your device

Nothing is sent by the app itself. iHebrew contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software.

Videos. Some pages include teaching videos hosted on YouTube. When a video loads or plays, your device connects to YouTube, which receives your IP address and basic device information, as with any YouTube video. YouTube's handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy. If you never open a video, no connection to YouTube is made for it.

What stays on your device

iHebrew saves a few preferences on your device so it opens the way you left it:

  • whether Show Affixes is turned on
  • your appearance choice (light, dark or system)

These are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

iHebrew is a one-time purchase with no in-app purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and your payment details are never shared with the developer.

Apple and Google send developers sales reports with totals by country. These don't identify you.

Children

iHebrew is a study tool suitable for any age. Because it collects no personal information, it collects none from children.

Your choices

  • To remove everything the app has saved, delete the app.
  • You can ask what information is held about you, or ask a question about this policy, at any time.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
