iAramaic privacy policy

Last updated September 30, 2026

This policy explains what iAramaic does with your information. iAramaic is made by Danny Zacharias in Nova Scotia, Canada, who is responsible for it under Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA).

The short version

  • No account, no sign-in, no ads.
  • No analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
  • If the app crashes, an anonymous crash report is sent so the bug can be fixed. That is the only data the app itself sends.

What leaves your device

iAramaic uses Firebase Crashlytics, a crash-reporting service from Google. When the app crashes or hits a serious error, Crashlytics sends a report containing:

  • a technical description of the error (a stack trace);
  • your device model, operating system version and the app's version;
  • a random installation identifier created by Crashlytics, which is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or Google account.

Crash reports are used only to find and fix bugs. They are kept for 90 days and then deleted. They are never used for advertising or to build a profile of you. Google processes them on our behalf under the Firebase data processing terms.

What stays on your device

iAramaic saves a few preferences on your device so it opens the way you left it:

  • whether Show Affixes is turned on

These are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

iAramaic is a one-time purchase with no in-app purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and your payment details are never shared with the developer.

Apple and Google send developers sales reports with totals by country. These don't identify you.

Children

iAramaic is a study tool suitable for any age. Because it collects no personal information, it collects none from children.

Your choices

  • To remove everything the app has saved, delete the app.
  • Crash reports can't be linked to you, so they can't be looked up by name. If you'd like any report from your device removed, email the address below with your device model and roughly when the crash happened, and it will be deleted if it can be found.
  • You can ask what information is held about you, or ask a question about this policy, at any time.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
